Sigma Compatibility
with the Minolta Maxxum 7

Minolta's latest camera body is the Maxxum 7. This latest offering in a distinguished lineup offers a number of technological innovations. For details I refer you to Minolta's website. As usual, Minolta offers complete compatibility within its existing lineup of autofocus lenses. Sigma lenses have not been as fortunate. The reason is quite simple: while Tokina and Tamron license the ROM chip for their lenses from Minolta, guarenteeing compatibility, Sigma prefers to reverse engineer it and keep costs down.

Disclaimer: This list is based on information that I have gathered from various sources on the web, including the Yahoogroups Minolta list. Compatibility and non-compatibility has not been tested by myself. No warranty is made as to the accuracy of this information. Please e-mail me with updates and corrections.
